Merlot

Merlot was introduced to the wine region a few decades ago; its grapes, ripened honey-sweet, produce a red wine which

• is deep red in colour,
• has a rich aroma,
• has a bouquet that resembles raspberry and roses.

This wine, mildly acidic in itself, suitably rounds off Merlot varieties, so it is excellent for blending. The variety features both ladies’ charm and a masculine character.
