Crocus Gere Wine Hotel & Resort ****

Viticulture and winemaking have followed the story of seven generations of the family, they even worked as barrel makers too.
Attila Gere who was originally a forester, when he met his wife, Katalin, he became more closely involved with grapes and wine. His father-in-law gifted them a small vineyard as a wedding present.
From this present, Attila and Katalin have built one of the most important family wineries in the country, and they are still very much active in the life of the winery. Today, however, the next generation, their daughter, Andrea has taken over the management of the winery.
The Gere Pension, which was the first official accommodation in Villány after the Regime Change, opened its doors with only a few rooms. In 2008, the little pension had become a four-star hotel called Crocus Gere Bor Hotel – Resort & Wine Spa with a fine dining restaurant in it. The hotel has 34 rooms and everything is about wines in it. The decoration, wine treatments in the wellness area or the chef’s meals that are composed to complement the wines. The degustation wine dinner is an exclusive pre-composed 6-7 course fixed degustation menu, tuned to the wines of the winery, but also the chef makes bread made with blue grape micro grist.
The vinotherapy spa center of the hotel offers a complex experience that is based on grape and wine foundations. The wine bath, the extra virgin blue grapeseed oil and the blue grapeseed grist treatments, using cosmetics based on own recipes will make everyone leave relaxed.
The restaurant and wine bar offer the winery’s full portfolio and other grape products as well. For example, self-made green grape juice (Verjus), extra virgin blue grapeseed oil, chocolate.

The monthly and weekend tasting series, with ever-changing offerings the guests can taste premium wines, old vintages, and rare old varieties.
