In this elegant wine we salute the supreme product of this wine region.

IF IT’S VILLÁNY, THEN IT’S CABERNET FRANC! IF IT’S CABERNET FRANC, THEN IT’S VILLÁNY!

The grape has found a natural home in the Villány wine region, occupying some 14% of the vineyards. The grape, taking root in the limey loess and bathing in a wealth of warm sunshine, produces a complex wine, full of character yet lively and fresh. Villányi Franc is the master of elegance, balance, finely tuned and many-layered, allowing the personality of the winemaker space alongside the natural characteristics of the variety. Matured in wooden barrels for at least a year, it is grateful for long maturation in the bottle.

Villányi Franc

ORIGIN: Cabernet Franc, the "father" of cabernet sauvignon, originates from Bordeaux. (17th c.). It can be found in every vine-growing region of the world and while widespread as a cuvee component, rarely appears alone. Not so in the Loire and in Villány, where it achieves outstanding quality.

THE IDEAL ENCOUNTER: the place of production, the climate and the men of Villány!

WHAT’S VILLÁNY FRANC LIKE?
Elegant, complex, rich, lively and upstanding. The wine is matured in carefully structured wooden barrels, and develops the polished hallmarks of barrel and bottle maturation. In its complex bouquet intensive fruitiness and scented spices harmonise together with a long, lingering flavour. It is liked especially for its characteristically sharp, taut acids, its velvety tannins and lovely balance.
