The natural and production features of the Villány Wine Region as a viticultural area abound in historical, cultural and ethnographical facts which we are trying to reveal to visitors.

Read and taste attentively!

The birth of the wine producing region had long preliminaries, as the conquering Hungarian tribes grew vines on plain lands and even in the wetlands. It was not until the 13th century that the name ‘vineyard’ was associated with hills.

The Villány habitat is one of the most precious assets of the wine region.

It's maintenance and continuous professional monitoring adds to the quality of wines of Villány.

The wine region is excellent from two aspects. On the one hand the habitat makes possible contiguous plantation blocks; the wine region is a single unit with a high aesthetic value.

On the other hand, the variety of the vineyards, the hillsides of the east-west running hill ridge and its valleys make possible the selection of different species or products in each vineyard.
